Do you accept bank draft payments?

Is an appointment required to look at engagement rings?

Ready to find your perfect engagement ring? Contact the nearest location to set up an appointment with one of our diamond specialist to help you find that perfect engagement ring here. Appointments are not required, but are recommended.

How do I build an engagement ring?

Looking to build an engagement ring as unique as your love? Many of our engagement rings come without the centre stone which allows you to customize your ring to fit a diamond of your choice. All Tacori, Gabriel& Co. , Noam Carver, and Simon G do not include a centre diamond. Therefore, to build your engagement ring you first have to select the style of ring you like. Once you have chosen you ring, you will have the option to “Find the Perfect Diamond.” From there you can browse our extensive loose diamond list to complete your custom engagement ring.

I lost one of my diamond earrings. Can I buy just one?

Yes. Send us your information, and we’d be happy to try and help match what you have.

I fell in love with a ring I saw in a store and now they don’t have it anymore. Can I still get it?

It depends on what the item is and if it has been discontinued or not. We recommend going in to one of our locations and talking with one of our sales associates, or emailing info@barrys.ca. We will do our best to source what you are looking for.

What is your ring resizing policy?

When you purchase your ring from Barry’s, your first resizing is FREE

Why can’t my ring be sized?

Almost all rings can be sized, however there’s always one or two exceptions….If your ring is made with diamonds on the shoulders (diamonds along the sides of the band), or an intricate design it is not recommended to size it more than ½ a size up or down to keep the integrity of the ring. With eternity bands, we would have to take a look at the ring to determine it is something we can resize. This is a question where the ring would really need to be seen to answer correctly.

My jewellery has a chipped/loose/missing diamond! How do I get that fixed?

Please bring your jewellery to one of our two locations for us to inspect and give you the appropriate quote and warranty.

Do you send an appraisal with my purchase?

Yes, any purchase over $1000, will come with a written appraisal for insurance purposes. This document will be sent with all other paperwork in the same package as your purchase.

How often should I update my jewellery appraisal?

We recommend you get your jewellery re-appraised every 5 years.

Why should I have my jewellery re-appraised every few years?

The value of your jewellery may increase over time due to the fluctuation of price in diamonds in metal. Because of this, you want to be sure that your jewellery is valued at the appropriate price for how much it is worth in case something was to happen.

I have a new appraisal, what now?

Once you have a new appraisal for your jewellery, we recommend you keep a copy for yourself and send a copy to your insurance company so your jewellery will be covered for the correct value.

Why are there different prices for diamonds that look so similar in quality to each other?

Barry’s is constantly sourcing diamonds for the most competitive pricing. We buy from multiple suppliers, and are acutely conscious of choosing stones that show their maximum visual appeal. If you are debating over what to choose, or would just like our expert opinion on identifying the best value – simply give us a call. Do you offer diamond alternatives?

Although we don’t necessarily show diamond alternatives on our website, we can accommodate any of your needs and/or price concerns. Man-made diamonds, top quality cubic zirconia’s, and moissanite are options to consider in lieu of traditional diamonds. We can also provide pricing on any and all coloured gemstones as well. What does your packaging look like?

The packaging that your jewellery will arrive in varies depending on the brand you have purchased. All of our “Designer Brands” (Tacori, Hearts on Fire, Alex and Ani, Maple Leaf Diamonds, Scott Kay, Simon G, Thomas Sabo etc) have their own packaging that can be seen under the “This Item Comes With” tab of the product view. All other pieces will arrive in Barry’s branded packaging.

What does your packaging look like when I place an order online? I want to order something as a gift and don’t want to ruin the surprise

When you place an order on barrys.ca, we are mindful with our packaging. We ship all orders in an all-white box or a FedEx box with none of our Barry’s branding on the box.
